EPA Games

At RTI I was the Lead Game Designer and Project Lead on four EPA projects: Slime City, a city sim game for disaster cleanup; VR Chemical and Radiation Sampler for hazardous material identification; Fluid Dynamics Simulator for real-time water simulations; and UV Radiation Simulator.

First Responder AR

FRAR is a HoloLens 2 app for trainee firefighters to practice using a pump panel, developed with a NIST grant at RTI International and White Cross Volunteer Fire Department.

nXhuman

nXhuman is a virtual patient game for healthcare students to practice soft skills before entering the workplace.

Lab Safety VR

Lab Safety VR/Chemical Safety Rules is a first-person exploration game developed in Unity and ported to Oculus Go that teaches UNC freshman chemistry students about lab safety infractions. Key contributions included design, playtesting, and optimizing the VR experience to avoid motion sickness.

Task Trainer VR

Task Trainer VR is a knee injection simulation to practice joint injections. Development spanned five months of pre-production and one month of active creation using Unity and Oculus Rift. Lessons learned include managing feature creep and recognizing the complexities of VR development.
