Download and play Morpheus!
Morpheus is an isometric puzzle game. Somewhat similar to parallel programming, you try to solve each puzzle by changing the direction of the arrows, and then launch the characters down the path you’ve drawn with spacebar. Many levels have false solutions and red herrings to encourage thoughtful play.
This was the first game I worked on, and learned greatly from the process. Morpheus was built in Unity for PC, programmed in C#, and utilizes mouse and keyboard controls. It was completed in May 2015.

Building Levels
For implementing puzzles, we would use a text based hex code system that our programmer ingeniously came up with. This made generating levels a quick and efficient process. The codes on the left become the levels on the right!
Play-testing and User Feedback
With Morpheus, we iterated the game multiple times to hone the difficulty and speed of the game. We began with paper prototypes, and iterated upon that for several weeks until the gameplay was at a fun and functional state. Later, the team did multiple rounds of A/B tests to find an optimal difficulty, and character movement speed. I feel that because of the iterative process, Morpheus succeeds as a deceptively simple puzzler.
